Forty years after the Beatles
recorded their last album, the world still can’t get enough!
Everyone knows that the Beatles were the biggest band of the sixties
but did you know that they are also the top selling band of the
current decade? As impressive as that is, it’s about more than mere
numbers. The Beatles were a cultural phenomenon, unleashing a
musical magic and energy that started Yesterday and is still with
us Today.
The four professional musicians who
comprise “Yesterday and Today” are veterans of many other tributes acts
(the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Monkees, the Beach Boys, the Kinks,
etc.) but it was the Beatles who originally inspired each of them to
take the musical path through life.
“Yesterday and Today” combine their top-notch vocal
and instrumental talents to recreate the music and magic the world’s
favorite band, the Beatles.
Authentic costumes,
hairstyles, instruments, 3-part harmony and a healthy dose of that
famous Beatles wit and whimsy add up to a show which captures the look,
sound and excitement of the originals. The “Yesterday and Today”
show has multi-generational appeal and spans the Beatles entire career
(’63-’70), including songs that the Beatles themselves never performed
live.
The band members have performed in
many notable venues, including: Heart Fund Benefit at the Greek
Theater, Cystic Fibrosis Benefit at the Skirball Center, Goldie Hawn
party, 2 ½ Men Television Show party, the Detroit Pistons basketball
stadium, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Universal Studios, “Nine on the
Town” TV special, the House of Blues in Hollywood and New York, etc.
